    Pop culture jokes and references

depend on a common frame of reference

which it’s why it;s important to date a person who shares enough of your interests and hobbies

so that you can make your jokes and not have to explain them.

but then, that’s what humour is all about.

    who’s in on the joke
    who gets the joke
    who the joke is about
    who doesn’t get it
    who gets offended by it

    and for me

who can top it with something bigger
